Can i save the inbox emails to back them up
I have some important e-mails that I want to keep, they are in the Inbox folder. Is there any way I can save a backup copy to my HD??
Chosen solution
You could backup the entire Profile folder.
You could right click on email and select 'Save As' . choose where to save (not in Thunderbird) file type select .eml file this saves as individual files - one per email.
You could use an addon called 'ImportExportTools:
This addon tool facilitates a load of different options, including exporting as mbox files.
In order to install a downloaded extension, please do the following:
- Click the menu button and choose Add-ons.
- Drag your downloaded XPI file to the Add-ons Manager tab and drop it.
or
- Click the menu button and choose Add-ons.
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner to the left of the search box and select Install Add-on From File…
- Locate the XPI file you downloaded and click Open.
- You may need to restart Thunderbird when prompted.
