Why is there a blank (white) pop up window that I am unable to close when I start up Firefox? I have screen shots if needed.

Whenever I start up Firefox a white small "pop up" window appears and I am unable to close it (it does not have the 3 top right buttons to close, minimize or enlarge). This has been appearing for the past 6 months or so. Screen shots included that show you what it looks like in the foreground and background. Is it something I/you should be concerned with? Thanks!
