I need to know how to fix the problems thatThunderbird will not enlarge or open reply windows to messages

more options

Using Windows 10, suddenly Thunderbird does not - (1) open the mini windows for Thunderbird which appear on the bottom bar, (2) open a reply window to any "in" messages. Is this a compatibility problem with Microsoft 10? How can I urgently reinstate normal operation? Thank you

Chosen solution

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try the following:

Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

i have this issue but have only two add-ons installed (Enigmail and Lightning), disabling either or both of them has no effect. The problem is only solved when starting Thunderbird in "safe mode" which obliously does a little more than just disable the add-ons. Calender I could probably live without, Enigmail is a "must"
