Not getting new messages on laptop
I am receiving emails on my iPhone, but not on my laptop. I keep getting the same email (from myself) several times a day as the only messages coming in. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird but no change.
Chosen solution
Go to your email provider's website, log in to your email account and delete the message from yourself.
Where and how did you create the message sent from you and to you? I would suspect that whatever mail client was used to compose it has in some way generated a corrupt or incomplete message and Thunderbird can't download it fully.

This stopped the repeating email issue (whew!) but I had to delete my account and add it back in order to start retrieving messages.
