About the only thing I could add is that an email came in today that has so far come in 28 times. When this happens (other emails, too . . . unrelated) the "time-stamp" is the same on all copies.

Have a look at your Inbox via the email provider's webmail portal. If the repeated messages are seen there too, then Thunderbird is working properly and delivering what it is being given.

Otherwise, if a single message is being delivered again and again, it may be damaged or incomplete and the simplest solution is to delete it via your browser.

Is there a common factor amongst these repeated messages? A particular mail client being used to create them?
