Every time I open a news article from times if India website on a new tab, the video starts playing on its own. How do I stop this

See if this works:

  1. Type in "about:config" in the uralbar and press enter
  2. Type "autoplay" in the search bar on the top of the page
  3. Find "media.autoplay.enabled", tap "toggle".
  4. (probably) restart firefox
