no mail folders (inbox, sent, etc). address book still there, can search for emails, and they will show up in the search pane, but not in the main window. Tried several fixes from online sources but no luck.

Chosen solution

Something caused the stored email location to be a non-existent drive, windows update might have changed the drive names? Not likely, but I was not messing around with it. After exploring many, many non-terminal options, discovered "D:" should be "E:", folders showed up with only current emails. ran the folder repair and all is well. I need a beer.
