Install in Windows 10 days not enough disk space with 9
Hi there
As a fan of Firefox, I had my XP Pro machine die. New Build with Windows 10 is creating a volume of issues that is hard to take.
Needing an email client, moving from Outlook Express, I decided on Thunderbird. When I try to install it to a location of my choice on a partition other then C:, it reports 9GB of free space, needing 80MB and says there is not enough space.
Can you help?
Chosen solution
Well, OK then, I answer my own question:
Solution was very simple. Obtain the current version (this being in my case 38.2,0 - whereas I had the error with 38.1.0 that I had obtained a few days earlier, I think). Works like a dream.
And looks so cool (white).
And in case you need more help: click in the top bar somewhere, ask to Customize, then find the Calendar icon. Drag it into the top and, voila, all of a sudden you also have calendar tab at the top.
Just brilliant, thank you, Peter

Since I appear to be talking to myself only, I will add an interesting observation:
Having decided to reinstall Windows 10 one more time (one must remain hopeful), when installing Firefox, I selected my own install folder, which is always my preference.
The initial path was then listed as: F:\_Mozilla Applications_2015\
I ask you to notice the backslash at the end. Some installations seem to do that, others do not. I am never sure what to do about it. Anyway, I tried to install with that path and again got the message that there is insufficient disk space. Just as I had with Thunderbird (not sure if there was a backslash then - I will test this when I install that again).
So on a hunch I removed the backslash from that path. And off she goes, all OK.
Now I do not know this, but I suspect that the backslash has something to do with the insufficient space message.
