Why did you take away the print feature within the "write" window? When the document window opens, I can't past and print anymore??
In earlier versions of ThunderBird one could copy articles from (for example) a web page and paste it into the "write" window and then print it directly. Now I have to mail it to myself and then print the document.. That's a very poor feature in the newer versions of T.B.
How can we get the older feature back?

Now you said something useful. Press the alt key to make the Menu Bar appear. This shortcut has been part of Windows since the beginning by the way. You might want to remember it. When the Menu Bar appears select View-Toolbars and turn the toolbars back on.

Isn't 'File - Print' on your write window menu?
TB-38.2 Win10-PC
Thunderbird once had the feature in the "write" window to copy and paste then PRINT the information. One can not print from the write window now, you must copy it into another application to print it. Or, send the file (created by the cut and paste) and Email it to myself...then it can be printed when it arrives in the inbox. This was once a feature in the older versions, it was taken out in the later versions of Thunderbird for some reason. My question is WHY?
You were asked a question. How about a reply instead of restating your perceived problem.
Do you have a Print choice under File or not?
Do you have a Menu Bar with File-Edit-View etc showing in the Write window?
Of course there's not a "print" option in the window, that was the point of my question. The print window only appears in the "received" mail window. One can not print from the open write window in Thunderbird because there is NOT a "file" choice in that window.
