Will I lose all of my email history,contacts, etc when I migrate to Windows 10. What assurances do I have? I am migrating from Windows 8.1 and do not want to lose my important stuff.

I am a Thunderbird user who upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 recently and did not have a problem.

Microsoft recommends that people back up their data beforehand in case there is a problem. As part of this, I recommend that you back up your Thunderbird profile. You can see details on how to do this in this article.
