I would like to be able to open an email; then click on a new button called "transfer" that would allow me to transfer that email to a folder I already have that would be shown in a drop-down menu that would show up when I clicked on "transfer"....by selecting a folder, that email would be transferred to it and my next email would open......if you are familiar with Eudora, that is what I would like to be able to do in T-bird.......as it is now, I have to go thru many step....not good...<G>

Using 17.2 cinnamon -- all up to date.....

Now, how do I see any responses to my query?

You should investigate the the mouse right click. There are lots of useful items there including MOVE TO.

It is also a choice under Message on the Menu Bar and the AppMenu button.

If you have a small number of folders that you regularly drag to, then the QuickFolders addon might be useful to you. I use this for my day to day folders, and I've also put Trash and Junk there as drag and drop onto them sometimes just seems more natural.
