Hi,

Thunderbird search is great!

However, in some circumstances it can be a little too helpful. I'm trying to find an email which I know contains the word "Equalizer", but if I use Global Search Thunderbird will return a lot of emails with a similar, but not exactly the same, word - ie emails with the word "equal", "equality", etc.

I can see how this would be helpful, but in this case it means I'm seeing a lot of results which aren't relevant! Is there any way I can search for a specific word or text string and have Thunderbird only return results which contain exactly that string?

Thanks!

Hi jayelbe, Have you tried using the advanced search? In Windows, the shortcut keystroke is ctrl+shift+f, and the menu path is Edit-Find-Search Messages. This method does not include string variants in your results. Norio
