On laptop, tablet or another computer while traveling, I get wrong username or password. Can't access emails. Works when I get home.

Same thing when I try to login in through thunderbird"s website. When I arrive back home I get 2 weeks of emails. I have to use facebook to message people. Good thing I'm retired and don't use this for business anymore.

Ask your provider what server settings to use when off their network. Thunderbird does not work on tablets so this should be your clue it is not a Thunderbird problem.
