My husband receives some of my emails, not all. This started months ago. Have contacted BrightHouse Networks but it is not a glitch in their system they tell me. How do we stop it?

hi, i'm sorry but we can only answer questions about firefox and mozilla products in this forum - we won't be able to troubleshoot problems in third-party services. you'd have to contact the support of your respective email provider for that...

so it's about mozilla thunderbird? (your question is currently in the firefox queue, but firefox is just a browser and doesn't handle your email)

Sorry, thought I was in the Mozilla Thunderbird forum.

Thunderbird downloads the messages that are in the Inbox on your providers server. Ask your provider why your messages are ending up in your husbands Inbox on their server.

My email is thru Mozilla!! FYI. Thunderbird is email client software and not a provider. Your email is not with Thunderbird or Mozilla. Thunderbird connects to the Inbox on the providers server for the account or accounts that you enter into the Thunderbird software. Are both of you sharing the single installation of Thunderbird on the same computer? Even if this is the case the messages that it gets from the server go into the corresponding folder on your computer.

I asked my provider first. They have no answer and thought it might be a glitch in the Mozilla Thunderbird system. Yes we share the same computer and installation, just different email addresses.

The provider will tell you anything to get you to go away. Now you know how Thunderbird works. You will have to figure out how your mail is getting in your husbands inbox on the server.
