Hello, sorry to ask this but I cannot find similar issue on the community forum:

I was trying to change the lookout of my Thunderbird and switched to Vertical View, now all the options in the View>Layout are blank, no way to change it back...

Second issue: while I was managing the layout columns with the cursor, the one on the left with all the accounts disappeared, now it seems to be no way to get it back. It appears when I launch Thunderbird for a fraction of a second, then nothing.

I even removed Thunderbird and installed it anew but it opens with the same layout.

Is there anyway I can switch back to the default layout?

Thanks for any help.

Are you using any add ons? If so restart with add ons disabled to see if that works better. You do this from the help menu.

Click on View-and make sure that Folder Pane is checked. If it is checked and still not displaying move your mouse to the left side of the window and watch for it to change to a double headed arrow. When it does left click, hold and drag to the right to uncover the folder pane.

You need the Thunderbird window maximized for the drag to work.

Thanks a lot, in fact it works only with maximized windows, the accounts column is back!

The only problem left is the Layout options that are blank and not selectable, (even the Folder Pane), I am stuck on vertical view... I attach a screenshot if it may help.

Thanks

Yes, problem gone, it was the add-ons, thanks a million!

If you narrow it down to the add on causing the issue please post the name for future reference.

Apparently the issue is related to Tasks&Mails 2.5, as soon as I deactivated it all layout options became visible again.

How do you reactivate add-ons once you are in safe mode?

Thanks.
