I'm using Tbird 31.0 on a Windows 7 64 bit computer. I had to reinstall the operating system, and since then, when I compose a message, the header area is blue. I can't seem to find a way to change it back to white, like it was. Can I?

Chosen solution

The 'blueing' out of header lines occured when they did the 31.0 update. Several people have complained about this. There is a bug report which you can vote for to encourage a change back to previous display look and feel. You need to register in order to Vote.

Was your previous installed version also 31.0? I see the same colors on my test environment.

This may still be customizable. Did you mean area 1 or 2 (or both) as show in the attached screenshot?

I'm sorry I don't remember which version of Tbird I was running. I can say that I always upgrade as soon as the autoupgrade lets me know. However, when reinstalling, I got a message that one of my addons would not run with the version I was installing so maybe not the absolutely most current. In case you are wondering, I installed the appdata/roaming files from my backup so everything would be in place which is how I happened to have an obsolete addon, I would guess.

Area 2 is the one I'd like to change
