messages arrive out of order
Messages arrive in my inbox mostly in order. But frequently I will see a new message dated in August located in amongst messages I got in July, for instance. I don't understand why all the new messages don't come in order.

If you click on the header labeled DATE are they in order now? Clicking on any header makes that the primary sort column. Clicking the same header a second time will reverse the sort order.
It doesn't seem to matter whether the Date column is set for most recent first or most recent last. And maybe it has nothing to do with the date. Today, for example, I saw four emails in my inbox that were marked unread. They appeared with a date of 8/11/14. They were actually repeats of messages I had stored in my local folders on 8/11. And this happens quite a lot. I'll keep an eye on those "new" emails. When they come in and it appears they are out of order, maybe I didn't notice the date and that they were repeats. Which brings up another question: why do I get the same email in my inbox that I already stored in local folders days or even weeks before?
