if you own an apple device turn it off. The problem will almost certainly go away. Then take it to Apple and ask them how to reduce the number of connections their products use. Perhaps you can get the magic answer their customers have been seeking for years.
if it is an Andriod device reduce it's number of connections.
I am using Linux Ubuntu 10.04.
btw, thank you
If you use eg: a computer and a phone, this can add connections. so if you have used something other than the one computer access those devices and exit Thunderbird. When you exit Thunderbird, it should close connections, but allow a little time for background processes to fully complete before shutting down computer or opening Thunderbird again.
Check: See if you have multiple Thunderbirds running. In Windows this is done by invoking the task manager,; In Ubuntu try: Open the Dash and search for system monitor. There you can stop the processes.
Do you have multiple accounts with the same server? How many account?
Do you have pop or IMAP?
Is it gmail account?
If you exceed 15 connections per account you will get either a "Too many simultaneous connections" or a "Account exceeded command or bandwidth limits" error. Typically, an additional connection needed for each folder that you automatically check for new mail for, so this might limit how many folders you can enable for "when getting new mail for this account, always check this folder" in folder properties.
you mean how many email addresses to that domain? 15 emails account
No, i am only link this email account from my laptop (Ubuntu 10.04), not link to any other device.
I use for almost 2 years already, this thing happen from 4 months ago, showing this error occasionally not continuosly... i don't know why
thank you for the help
