Any Firefox above 16 will not let me use virtual keyboard from Kaspersky.

Does it appear in the Addons Manager? If so, is it enabled? If not, see Kaspersky for an updated version of their Firefox addon.

Cheers for the reply,

Looks like I am going to have to go to Kaspersky and prod them to doing something about it.

Kaspersky's requirements posts, quote: "Supported web browsers:

   Internet Explorer 8 — 11
   Mozilla Firefox 9.x — 28.x
   Google Chrome 15.x — 33.x"

For a fact both Firefox & Kaspersky are fully aware of lack of compatibility. It remains to be determined why both F & K lack the incentive of remedying this difficulty to users' benefit.

Sorry, but Mozilla isn't responsible for add-ons that don't work after something is changed or updated in Firefox. The "people" who create add-ons are fully aware that they may need to (or may have to) update their product every 6 weeks for every new version of Firefox that is released. And its not like there is any surprise when Mozilla changes something that might break an add-on; Firefox has two 6 week Alpha development stages, and a 6 week Beta stage where no new features are introduced into the code. Add-on developers have ample time to test their add-on, at least 6 weeks minimum, and fix what needs to be fixed before each new version of Firefox is released.

IMO, add-on developers shouldn't provide a product that they are incapable of supporting or are unwilling to support in a timely manner. From what I recall seeing in this forum over the last couple of years, that Virtual Keyboard add-on has been broken for more time that it has worked.

"Virtual Keyboard" and "Safe Money" are not Firefox's adds-on. Both are part of Kaspersky Security package. Eloquently defending Firefox is gallant while not resolving the issue. Besides, opting for Firefox rather than, say, Chrome, is user's choice of one's free will. If both providers were determined to cooperate towards Compatibility -- It still takes two to tango, even over the net - the issue would have been resolved.

I ain't defending anyone! I offered my opinion that Kaspersky is at fault, concerning the topic of this thread - the Virtual Keyboard add-on of whatever you decide to label it as. If you decided to post off-topic in a solved thread, that's on you.

This forum is here to help Firefox users diagnose and fix their issues with Firefox, and this issue is not "fixable" by the people here.

Kaspersky has determined compatibility as Mozilla Firefox 9.x — 28.x I they choose to not support Firefox 29 or 30, both have been released already, that is Kasperky's action, or lack thereof.

You're trying to use a newer version of Firefox than what Kaspersky says they support.

If you think that Mozilla should do more to try to fix this compatibility issue, you can provide feedback here: https://input.mozilla.org/en-US/feedback
