Why does the cursor go to a different spot during typing?

While I am typing, the cursor goes to another spot and the typing starts there. I then have to erase that and put cursor back in the right spot to start typing again.

Mine does not.... Have you tried restarting in Safe mode from the help menu to see if an add-on is the cause of your difficulty?
