Firefox Hello lets you make free video and voice calls directly from the browser. All you need are a microphone, a webcam (optional), and the latest version of Firefox to call friends who are on WebRTC-supported browsers like Firefox, Chrome, or Opera.

Invite someone to talk
- Click on the Hello button .
- Tip: Move the Hello button to your toolbar. For more information, see Where is the Firefox Hello button?.
- Click the button to send the link to a friend using your default email application, or click and paste the link into another messaging application.
- When your friend clicks on the link to start a call, a notification will pop up on your browser:
- Click the button to accept the conversation. Choose the video camera option if you'd like to have a video conversation, or the microphone option for a voice-only call.
- Use the privacy controls to mute your microphone or turn off your camera as needed.
- To end the call, click .
Start a conversation
- Click on the Hello button .

- Give your conversation a name by typing it in the
- When your friend joins the conversation, the Hello button will turn blue with an accompanying alert. The blue dot on your list will also let you know which conversation is active.
- To end the call, click .
- The conversation will stay on your list for future use. You can delete it by clicking the trash icon next to the conversation.
Join a conversation
Received an invitation? Joining a conversation is easy! Just click on the link on the invitation and click the button on the page to enter the conversation.

Contact lists and direct calling
While you don't need an account to use Firefox Hello, a Firefox Account will let you add, manage and call your contacts directly with just a click.

Control your notifications
If you're not ready to receive a call, click on the status menu at the bottom of the window and set it to
