When I click "Open All Tabs" from the 10 or 12 bookmarks within a particular tab drop down, my tab bar will open with the selected tabs but their titles are so mashed with excess logos and verbiage that each tabs' web identity can scarcely be recognized.

I have simplified the individual bookmarks titles in the bookmarks editor but the tab titles themselves are still long form.

I can't imagine a laptop or smartphone user grouping more than a few bookmarks in a tab.

How might I abbreviate my tab titles ?

Tabs show the title as send by the server, so there is normally no way to customize what they look like.

You can look at the Tab Mix Plus extension to see if that allows to modify the tab title in a way that suites you.
