Even though I have blocked pop-ups under Options, I continue to receive continuous op-ups.

Pop-ups continue to appear in great number when I am using Firefox. I have Norton 360 as a protective program, and Norton spent over an hour cleaning up and protecting my computer, which is a laptop with Windows 8 operating system. If there is not way to control the pop-ups and other interference, I will have to stop using Firefox.

Hello Philipp, I think the problem of the pop-ups has been solved, but I still need to perform a few more tests. I did need to telephone Norton for further problems, and they helped immensely. Thank you.

hello, it looks like you have addons present which are adware.

please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove Media Player, Video Player, Consumer Input, Webexp Enhanced.
also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.
finally, run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
