Hangs upon start up Mac OS 10.6

I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.6 from 10.5 on an intel processor. Then updated to Firefox 5. Ever since it has been hanging for about 4 minutes at start up. After that everything works fine. I have gone through all the basic troubleshooting steps and nothing has worked. Same also happens with when starting up Thunderbird.

In the console I think this is the error message:
