I have tested my e-mail account thru the e-mail notification button and test shows ok. However i am not showing any email received whilst using the computer but when going into my live mail there are messages in my inbox

Is that a Firefox add-on you are referring to?
If so, have you checked that add-on's download page for support information? Like a link to a support forum for that add-on?

No, my internet browser shows on the top -Page Status (AVG) and e-mail notifier. It asks you to configure your account which i have done.However when i am browsing the internet it does not show any e-mails arriving. When I go to Live mail there are e-mails in my in box.

Hi I am on Firefox4 and when opening the window I have a tab showing e-mail notifier. When opening this it asks you to check your settings which I have done. However when browsing the internet it never shows any e-mails being received. When i go over to Live mail is shows items in my inbox.
