My printer states it does not support Firefox 3.6.13. So I need to uninstall 3.6.13 and install an earlier version. I assume this is the correct thing to do.

If you have an HP printer, it's probably the HP Smart Web Printing extension for Firefox that is outdated and incompatible. That isn't going to keep your printer from working with Firefox.

Does that printer appear in the Printer - Name drop-down when you do File > Print?
Can you select that printer?

My HP Deskjet 6988 shows but when I print only 1/2 page along the left side prints. Is there a setting than can be changed. Don't want to go through uninstalling/ reinstalling. Thanks.
