I'm trying to switch form Xmarks to Firefox Sync -. According to the your description I should be automatically prompted to set up my Sync account after I restart Firefox following download and installation of the Sync software. This is not happening - so how do I proceed? Cheers

Open the Firefox Options/Preferences dialog, there should be a new panel on there called Sync, you will find the option to setup sync there.
