In the past, when I would download a Firefox update to my laptop, when I cleared the Cookies and Data, there would be zero remaining. Now, every time I download a Firefox update 24KB of data remain and will not clear when I push the Clear Data button. If there is more in the Cookies and Data file, when I push the Clear Data button most of what is there is removed but there is always 24KB that remains and will not clear.

1. Why has the Firefox updates started leaving 24KB permanently in the cookies and data file?

2. How are we to remove the remaining 24KB that does not clear when you push the Clear Data button?

This is not new as these question appears across years. I don't think your 115esr realistically receives any updates besides most critical security fixes so that's probably some partitioning or cleanup that would have gotten resolved in later versions. You can just nuke the storage if you're so inclined: support.mozilla.org/questions/1217782

(Or, better, use database tools to inspect the content, to give you the answers.)
