There is no "Firefox VPN" though there is a built-in VPN in desktop Firefox and perhaps soon in Firefox for Android.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/built-in-vpn
The built-in VPN has more limited features and only a 50GB data limit each month. Also the built-in VPN feature in Firefox operates via a secure proxy network rather than a traditional, full-device virtual private network like the standalone Mozilla VPN app.

James, If you are aware of the the differences between FireFox's VPN and Mozilla's VPN then you should also be aware of what was available when Rita paid and I paid for VPN. I made a payment in March of this year (2026). Unfortunately for me I had to have my Windows 11 reinstalled and have lost my VPN. Now it seems I have no way of reinstating it. I did try to reload it but was never offered a "forgot my password" option. So now not only did I pay for something that is perhaps free now, I can't even reload it. Mozilla's help options are really awkward to the point of useless.

The earliest the new built-in VPN in desktop Firefox feature started was as of Firefox 149.0 which was released on March 24, 2026. It was experimental and in a progressive rollout in US, the UK, Germany and France at the time with it being rolled out in Canada starting Firefox 150.0.
Nothing VPN related went from paid to free and they are both separate things. Again the built-in VPN in desktop Firefox is limited in features and it only works on the desktop Firefox web browser and not the whole device. Starting September 1st the built-in VPN will be capped at 50GB each month like it was before June 9th while the data usage in Mozilla VPN is unlimited.
These links should help explain how they work and the differences between the built-in VPN in desktop Firefox and the Mozilla VPN app. https://www.firefox.com/en-US/features/browser-with-built-in-vpn-secure-browsing/ https://blog.mozilla.org/en/firefox/built-in-vpn/

See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-mozilla-vpn-windows on how to download and install the subscription based Mozilla VPN app on Widows 10, 11.
If you need further help with the Mozilla VPN app as Mozilla VPN is one of Mozilla's premium products. In order to get premium support from a dedicated agent, please submit your question with your Mozilla VPN app by going to Settings > Help > Contact Support. Alternatively, you can sign in to the Mozilla account connected to your subscription here (if not already) and then use this link.
The Mozilla VPN form link can also be found on top at Ask a Question > Mozilla VPN and form link is on page. You need to be using the Mozilla Account you have the MOzilla VPN subscription attached to.
This Mozilla VPN form page is not for support of the free built-in VPN feature in desktop Firefox and also now in experimental rollout in Firefox for Android as they will direct you back to the support forum,.
