The Mozilla Firefox or Firefox for short is a web browser and not a search engine. To change to another search engine in the Firefox for iOS/iPadOS web browser then see the KB articles below.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-engine-firefox-ios https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-or-disable-search-engines-firefox-ios

Or if you are actually asking how to make the Firefox the default web browser on iOS/iPadOS then see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/set-firefox-default-browser-ios

Note you posted this thread in the Firefox for iOS/iPadOS (iPhone/iPad) section so if you are referring to Firefox on macOS then this thread can be moved to the (desktop) Firefox section.
