Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience. The team is working on implementing a modern embedded search UI for the New Tab. For now, unfortunately, you won't be able to change that behavior. The old code has been removed to clean up space for the new one.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess that for now I'll just deal with the pain in the butt menu bar. Probably shouldn't hold my breath till the problem is solved.
