Old Firefox data folder
Hi - Firefox placed an 'Old Firefox data' folder on my desktop and I am unable to delete it. I'ver tried third party apps, logging in as administrator, command line delete, uninstalling FF but am still stuck with it and my network settings are wrecked so I can't re-establish connection to the internet on that machine. Anyone with any suggestions as to how I get rid of the 'Old Firtefox data' folder ? Many thanks...

Boot to safe mode or use a live usb stick with linux.
The folder is created during use of the "Refresh" feature. Does that ring a bell? (Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings)
I don't think deleting the folder will help with your network issue. However, if you really do not care about using the data in that folder to recover old settings, you probably can delete most of what is in the folder: double-click into Old Firefox Data, then double-click into the profile folder, and remove everything that can be removed. My suspicion is that the problem will be in the storage folder.
I want the damn folder off my desktop but it's saying I need administrator privileges. I am the administrator -- it's my personal PC. Very frustrating. And the only reason I refreshed Firefox to begin with was to try to correct Firefox from deleting my favorite tabs every time I closed out. The setting in Firefox hasn't been working since yesterday.
