Well, today my add-ons have disappeared and are not showing up like they are supposed to just GONE! Disappeared and I'm pretty ticked off about it. Because I like my Firefox add-ons, and I shouldn't have to deal with losing them from time-to-time, same with my bookmarks, + I didn't get a response on my Google Play review so at very least you people should at least acknowledge me. Otherwise, I'm done with your browser it's not worth keeping anymore.

Hi

If you are using the Nightly version of Firefox for Android, there was an issue that caused add-ons to disappear.

That has now been resolved, please update your copy of Firefox for Android.

Nope, I am using the desktop version of Firefox not the Android version so this does not solve my issue. Thanks for nothing! Useless support but, I suppose I change my mind and will continue using this considering the fact I like it but still, I hate it when supporting garbage people like you with "automated replies" like bots and can't even do better at your job. You FAILED and now I'll just put you in place knowing you'll go hide in the coward corner. Ignoring this, and not accepting the fact that I am highly disappointed with you and your sorry asses. So good day motherfucker good motherfuckin' day!

I think because you mentioned a Google Play store review it wasn't crazy to think you were talking about Firefox for Android, but setting that aside...

Did the extensions disappear from the toolbars only -- still listed on the Add-ons page -- or from both toolbars and the Add-ons page?

If your extensions are still listed on the Add-ons page but do not appear on toolbars:

Could you check the Customize tab to see whether the buttons are in there: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.

One common reason is that they lack permission to run in private windows. More info on that issue here: Extensions in Private Browsing.

If you do not have any extensions listed on the Add-ons page:

This sometimes indicates a malware extension that is trying to prevent you from removing it. You can cross-reference the Troubleshooting Information. Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Help > More Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > More Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the Add-ons table. This lists a mix of built-in search engine extensions and extensions you've installed. Are any of your extensions listed here?

If your extensions are listed on the Troubleshooting Information page but you cannot see them on the Add-ons page, restart Firefox in its Troubleshoot Mode and carefully review for miscreants:

In Firefox's Safe/Troubleshoot Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is running:

You can restart Firefox in Safe/Troubleshoot Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Help > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)

and OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).

If Firefox is not running:

Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.) A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).

Note: Don't use the Refresh without first reviewing this article to understand what will be deleted: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.

Now you should be able to view the Add-ons page unimpeded. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. On the right side, find the "Manage Your Extensions" heading.

If there is at least one extension before the next heading -- "Recommended Extensions" -- please continue:

Then cast a critical eye over the list below that heading. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything suspicious or that you just do not remember installing or why? If in doubt, disable (or remove). For your privacy and security, don't let mystery programs linger here.

To restart Firefox normally, simply exit and start it up without holding down any keys.

Any progress so far?
