can't install yahoo mail account
Had a problem with Wndows and had to reinstall the machine, losing all software. When reinstalling Thunderbird and trying to reinstate my Yahoo account (with mail from 20+ years), the automatic installation failed. The DIY installation failed too, despite using Account Key. It seems that Thunderbird thinks Yahoo account is not secure enough to include. How to solve this? I'd like to have access to my old messages again!

Yahoo servers went up the creek and effected loads of users including Bt and Sky amongst others. Mine came back after 2pm today, so it really is worth trying afresh again as Yahoo are experiencing issues at the moment.

Did Windows OS by any chance create a 'windows.old' folder? Usually it is put on the desktop.
There was a problem with the account settings server the day you posted this topic, is it working for you now?
