How do I recover my bookmarks; they were all there, then the next day, they were gone.

I lost my bookmarks, and when I go to recover them it shows far fewer than I had (15 when I had at least 30). Where are the rest of them? I'm afraid to go through the recover process because I'll lose the rest. Help!

You can check the backups in the bookmarkbackups folder to see if there is one that shows the correct item count.

  • Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore.

Note that the name of a JSON bookmarks backup file includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once.
