Hi NanaLaura,

1. Press the Power button on your Firefox device to wake it from sleep mode. 2. Press and hold the Power button to open the Phone Options Screen. 3. Tap Power Off in the dialog window. The device will shut down. Power up the device again by pressing and holding the power button until the boot screen appears.

Just to be sure is this with a Firefox OS phone (as you posted thread in Firefox section) or with Mac OSX ?
