Hi, I want a website (Protonmail, my email client) to store persistent data. I have enabled it, but I also have all my browser security settings on Strict (also clearing browse data and cookies on each closing of the browser), so now when I have downloaded the data and I close and reopen my browser: it's all gone. I tried looking at making Protonmail an Exception, but that's only possible in relation to Tracking Protection. How to fix this?

At the present moment Firefox prevents my screen saver from starting when a video is playing in the browser. I would like to completely disable this ability so that Firefox can never interfere with the screen saver.

How can I do this?

  When I go on bj's site and click on the department  I want and click on an item A pop up keeps saying this page is slowing down your browser click stop to get a better experience. I never had that problem before,how do I fix that?

I have noticed Firefox is ignoring the max_pages and transient max_pages settings, both set to 999999 and still deleting browsing history after 2-3 months here.

What can be done? Is there a way to get the developers to fix this so it stops deleting, ideally by adding a boolean setting?

I run a food-related site https://5guyzmenu.com that displays fast food menus (like burger prices, combos, etc.) which update regularly. I've noticed that Firefox often shows a cached version of certain pages (especially /menu/) even after we update them with fresh pricing or item changes.

We use proper cache-control headers and Cloudflare as our CDN, but Firefox still seems to hold onto old versions longer than expected — unless users do a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5).

Has anyone dealt with this issue on dynamic sites?

Does Firefox handle cache differently from Chrome for max-age, no-store, or ETag?

Is there a known bug or setting related to aggressive caching in recent versions?

Would love to hear your thoughts or recommendations from anyone who has faced this with frequently-updated content.

My option to "Open a specific page or set of pages" has vanished!!!

Originally a page I play backgammon at wasn't displaying properly, my graphics drivers are up to date so I shut down the browser, when that didn't work I was going to uninstall but at the beginning of that process I was given the option to refresh so I chose that instead.

Unfortunately it took me a hot minute or two to realise my browser was no longer opening a specific page it always had done.

Where has that option gone?

was Windows 10 Pro, now Windows 11 Pro on replacement laptop (old one is not operational). I can't get my profile into Thunderbird because (presumably) I'd backed it up using my cloud backup service (and forgot that most of the time it's incremental), with the possibility of a straight copy from the old SSD if it's not fried.

How can I at least retrieve the data in there, (and/or convert it to a readable format) i.e. emails, that are in the Mail folder, including Local Folders? Some of that goes back to early 2000's, and some accounts that I no longer have. It's probably better to have most of that out of Thunderbird anyway, since my profile is ~99GB on disk.

Currently I have at least 7 active email accounts, and that fluctuates with .edu addresses. In the profile IMAP Mail folder, there are 20 .com account folders, a few of which are inactive or from changes, and a couple from setting up my main account just to see if that would link up with the associated files in the old profile (not). I can't tell what they all are except for those for which I'd made subfolders under the IMAP Inbox.

So since I don't only have 1-2 accounts, this is a big deal, and having to keep multiple browsers/private tabs open is not easy to work with. I'd even tried the Firefox Containers as a temporary work-around, but I'm having troubles with that.

Any help is appreciated! I can't get anything done, and the new laptop doesn't even have all that I need set up yet.

With the new update came profiles, which is pretty useless for me. However, it bugs me that the firefox icon on the taskbar now has the profiles' star on it. Is there a way to remove this?

I was able to play Words With Friends 2 and Words With Friends on Messenger up to about 4 months ago then all of a sudden I can't. I can on Microsoft Edge but I don't like Microsoft. I prefer FireFox. What do I need to do?
