Every time I start fire fox I get a window stating that the update was not completed. Also that blue circle just spins and spins! I have a good signal, emptied my cache, tried system restore etc. I just don't want to loose my settings if I delete. Nada

The Firefox programs are stored in the computers programs folder. Your profiles are stored in the user profile folders. If the profiles were not removed, a new Firefox should find it.
