I have been using Thunderbird as mail longer than 10 years. Just a month or so ago, my folders no longer display down the side of the program. I save and saved mail in those folders but have no way to access that saved mail. I can see the folder using Windows Explorer but cannot see the saved mail in those folders. Is there a way to display the folders again?

Is the pane they live in still there? That is, is it there but empty?

Or has the pane gone completely too? In this case, in the menu, View|Layout|Folder Pane needs to be checked. If it's already checked, uncheck it and check it again.

No menu? Hold down the <alt> key on your keyboard.
