You removed the "exit" notification when close FireFox in v18 and above. Can this be reinstated? (our Ajax app depended on it)

As of version 18, FireFox no longer sends an "exit" notification when the browser is closed. Our Ajax app depends on this notification to close the application session. Now, without this notification, the app session is not closed when the user closes their browser.

Note that other browsers (eg. IE and Chrome) do send this exit notification.
