'home' button NOT included in 'customize' items . how do i get it?

i need the 'home' button. it is not included in the 'customize' items so that doesn't work, as it is not actually there with the other items. please tell me how to get it. thanks. it's ridiculous working without one.

The home button can be added when you click on the tab bar and then costumize toolbar, the icon will be there. Just drag the icon to wherever you want it be.
