Hi, I’ve been using Thunderbird, but after installation it’s taking up 128GB of disk space. That seems unusually large — could you please help check what might be causing this?

This excess is often a result of failed compactions or a duplication of folders. My suggestion:

  1. click help>troubleshootinginformation
  2. scroll to 'profile folder' and click 'open folder'
  3. you are now in the profile, highlight the imapmail folder, rightclick, check properties
  4. repeat that for the Mail folder
  5. the properties display showed the folder size. Now, one of those is probably the culprit. Do screenshot of the contents of the folder and send it here.
