After the update, a window popped up asking me to select a profile. But my profile, where all my passwords, bookmarks, etc. were, was gone. I couldn't restore my bookmarks because the only one available was from today and it`s "clean." Is there any way to restore my account data? Because everything was there: settings, bookmarks, passwords, history.

Hi I had the same problem... in the address bar type about:profiles... Scroll down to open default profile, next to root directory, open folder...Pop up menu appears, scroll down to places.sqlite you will see the same file with corrupt... Delete the corrupt and the places.sqlite files... Exit out of Firefox from the bottom of the menu on the right with three dots... Open Firefox again, sign in and voila their back... Im thinking the recent windows 11 update corrupted the file.... Im working on enabling to have tabs reopen now

Thanks for your reply, but I might know the reason, if this still actual. When I re-logged into my account, I did it by changing my password. I found old threads about password recovery, and moderator says that recovery wiping Sync data. Since the data was also brokes locally, I can either ask someone from admins to restore the Sync data (if possible, i dont know how to write ticket, since it was wiped today) or try using system/disk recovery.

Hi there,

I suspect the newly created profile might just have become default. Could you please go to about:profiles and check if there is a profile called "default-release" (and generally inspect the list of profiles). You can launch any of them in a new window to check if it's your old profile, and if it is, click Set as default profile under it (you may need to restart Firefox for that).
