Approximately ten years ago, my internet service provider included a webmail account, “LIME Email Zimbra suite of communication tools” (the name of my internet service provider at that time was “LIME”) with the internet service they provided. I used this with “Thunderbird” until recently basically without any problems. However, during 2024 I started to get many scam email problems. Late in 2024, the bank with which I have my bank accounts here, recommend that I cease using the Zimbra suite and transfer all my dealing with them to a Gmail account as they feared that I would probably be hacked. I have done that but problems remain with it.

A few weeks ago this got worse and I got over 200 emails for LIME's (now named FLOW) Billpay system advising of overdue accounts, none of which were mine. I have reported this to FLOW but that have given me no assistance. I understand that they intend phasing out use of the Zimbra suite.

Currently, both the Zimbra and Gmail accounts are integrated into Thunderbird on my system.

My question is, can I remove the Zimbra suite completely and incorporate this into my Gmail account?

Can you please assist on this?

By 'incorporate', you are asking if you can move the messages from zimbra to gmail, yes you can. A possible approach: - using the addon, importexporttools, do this - highlight the desize zimbra folder - righclick and select importexportoption o export as EML files - when done, highlight the desired gmail folder and select the importexport option to import EML files

Thank you very much for your prompt and informative response. Yes, I do mean move my messages. Can you please tell me here I can find the "importexporttools" add-on.

- click the hamburger menu in upper right - click addons - in the searchbox, enter importexport and install the addon - then, follow steps in earlier response

Thanks again. I see the add-on is already there but it is noted as "disabled".

See if you can click the button on the right to enable. If there appears a message that it is incompatible, that would indicate you need to update it. There is a gear wheel on the addons page and if you click there, one of the options is to check for upgrades.

I now have version 14.1.8 pf "ImportExportTools NG" enabled and "ImportExportTools" disabled. Is this correct?

The NG is the current version. the other can be removed. I had forgotten that. :)
