Have you used an extension, like:
It used to be there before the last update.
No, it is there but it it hidden in another button.
It used to be on the FF screen before the last update, so something has changed.
It is hidden by another button. Used to be there before the last update so FF changed something without telling us, the users.

Can you share a screenshot showing what you see on yours if it's different than mine? Please be sure to cut out or blur any sensitive information before attaching the image to a reply.
If buttons are overlapping, try reducing the zoom level as a test. Hold down the Command key and tap the - key once or twice (to increase zoom again, hold down the Command key and tap the + key once or twice).
It shows up when I hit the button with the 9 dot array, but that button does not say anything about getting to the address list.
It used to be on the FF screen, much easier to find. Now they hid it away where nobody would expect to find it . And they did this without telling anybody what they were doing. Not good business sense.

I don't use Gmail very much, so I don't remember the old layout. However, Google is the one that decides where icons appear on its site. Does it look different in Safari or other browsers you have on your Mac?
You could bookmark this for easy access or add it to the
Top Sites on Firefox new tab page :
I have safari on my computer but never look at it. I have used FF for years and like it, save for the last update when the addresses got buried under another button - and they never announced what changes they were making.
Sounds interesting, but way beyond my expertise. I am a button pusher, from the old school.
Don't know how to do any of that. The buttton just disappeared and I wanted to delete some obsolete addresses and couldn't find how to do that. Especially addresses that are no longer used by the sender.

Do you maybe have a relative, a friend or a friendly neighbor who could show you what to do and how to do it ?
We have a few friendly neighbors, but they all have windows computers and don't know how a mac works.
Only relative I have her is our son, and he is too busy with his job, running a FIRST robotics team and raising a family to be of much help.
I used to be able to figure much of this stuff out in time, but this issue has stumped me. I have a friend at Apple, but he won't answer Firefox questions.
Too bad that they can produce these things without writing an instruction manual, but we live in a different age now.

Your problem is not OS (Operating System) related though ....

That's not a friend .....
I found this :

Does that help ?
About what I said about bookmarking a page :
When you're on a page (like the the page I just linked to); at the left end of the address bar you'll see a star (next to the three dots) - when you click on that star, you will have bookmarked the page you are on. Then, when you want to get to that page again, you click on the icon that looks like a star in a pan (a little more to the right than the bookmark star) and you'll see the pages you have bookmarked.

Oh boy .....
Firefox is a browser. You need a browser to visit pages.
Gmail is a Google product. You use Firefox to get to your Gmail account.
In this thread you have been told (and shown) in different ways how to get to your Gmail contacts - I honestly don't know how else to explain.
Maybe jscher2000 (or someone else) can help you - I'm all out of ideas (I'm sorry .... ).
Thought I was talking to the Firefox help line. They should know these things, but are working in secret so nobody knows what is going on.
Thought this was a simple question, but you folks out there on the internet try to make a simple thing very difficulty.

I'll give it one more try :
When you've opened your Gmail account, click on the 9 little squares in the upper right corner. Then scroll down till you see "Contacts" and click on it. You have now opened your contacts.
Then (if necessary) follow the instructions in the link I gave you earlier :
https://support.google.com/contacts/answer/7280886?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en
Again : Gmail is a Google product - you visit Gmail (and any other site) using Firefox as your browser.

This is the support forum for Firefox related problems. Nobody here is "working in secret".
You have been given all the right answers, and things have been explained to you in different ways, hoping you'd understand.
With all due respect; I get the feeling that you don't really read what has been posted and haven't followed any of the suggestions and advice .... (?)
