My startup preference is changing to a specific website beyond my control

Although I set my startup preference as "Show my windows and tabs from last time" is some how changes to "Show my home page" and the home page changes to

despite being set as www.google.co.uk

My PC is being protected by Kaspersky and there is no sign of malware.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
