Can't delete calendars in Lightning at all.
In trying to Lightning working again with Google Calendar (unsuccessful so far with both CalDav and Provider for Google Calendar), I created several calendars that do not work: i.e. they're empty. I would like to delete them, but despite trying methods in several posts about such, nothing works. I'm never given a delete option. If I unsubscribe to them, they reappear. The only Delete option is greyed out. I uninstalled Lighting and reinstalled and still these empty calendars persist. See my screenshot.
So before I make further attempts at getting Lightning and Google working on the same calendar, I need to delete these. How to do it???

could it be because you need to unsubscribe from them not delete. Same net result in Lightning.
No, I've done that many times and they keep coming back. I expected unsubscribe to work, but it doesn't. Shutting down in between doesn't help either. And 2 of them I can't even unsubscribe -- no options are give. I expect something in the profile is messed up How to correct?
have you tried rebooting your machine. Things coming back can occur. The most common is when the windows file system messes up and windows silently offers up older version of files what asked for them.
So I suggest you check the disk for physical and logical errors before trying anything else.
Thanks. I rebooted a couple times and the calendars all come back, despite my having unsubscribed them. Since TB and every other program I have/use (and that's lots) are working fine otherwise, I don't think it's my file system.
I again unsubscribed and restarted TB and again they come back. Is there a way to get some debugging info on this? Can I hack some profile files, e.g. uninstall LIghtning and delete the calendar folder? Note that now Lighting has NONE of my data, so I'm just using Google Calendar via my browser. Any other ideas?
Can anyone help here? I can't import an ics file (from my Google Calendar) either into LIghtning. When trying to do so, I can only choose between 2 "dead" calendars that I can't get rid of, and when I choose one, it still stays empty.
Basically now I need to completely reset Lightning, and blow off all info it has, so at least I can import my Google calendar. How to do that???
OK, I created a new calendar and successfully imported the ics file into that. But:
- I still can't get rid of the other calendars showing up (unsubscribing doesn't get rid of them -- they come back when TBird restarted).
- How to sync it with my Google Calendar?
If someone can tell me how to completely reset Lightning (blow off all calendars and start anew), that will cure these problems.
Wrong question ´, sorry
