Hi,

I’m facing an issue in Firefox where some icons on my website are not updating their color correctly.

I’m using SVG icons, and the color changes work fine in other browsers, but in Firefox they seem to stay fixed.

I’ve tried clearing cache and checking CSS (fill/color), but no change so far.

Is this a known issue with how Firefox handles SVG or could I be missing something in the implementation?

Its simple but I dont get it and firefox used to be able to it is simply like any website you have a file of anything you can slip it in just like Chrome edge opera fire fox to get it the file you have to like go in like not automatc more like MANUALLY

I’ve just setup my Mac (Tahoe 26.3.1) again as it was compromised.. Now, I was very vary of which applications, apps, logs, certificates, …. etc are installed // running.

Unfortunately, I’ve crashed my Firefox browser as I’ve seen weird names on the settings section -> certificates. I’ve just deleted them…. Once I was done, I couldn’t load any website anymore. Now, I’ve opened up a new profile (Main Profile), migrated passwords, bookmarks and checked the main settings (not touching the certificates…). The Original Profile & Profile 2 are obsolete.

Result: I can load websites again, have my bookmarks and access everything needed but now, I can’t sign back in into my Mozilla Firefox account to keep syncing everything between my Iphone, Mac and my account (just in case I’m crashing it again..).

Issue Remaining: When I’m trying to sign in entering my email address the ERROR: “Unexpected error” comes up… That wasn’t the case beforehand.

Anybody with a potential solution or steps and settings for an idiot to check if they’re correct?

Probably the wrong topic, but I can't access two NY Times daily puzzles for the last couple of months after using them with this browser for more than a year before that on this pc and this browser.

I receive the message "Non-compliant action. The current operation is blocked by your IT administrator. Click 'OK' to continue." when going to https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html. That URL works fine on Edge, but I like to keep all my personal activity on Firefox and use Edge for my consulting work with clients.

Similarly, but not quite the same, Connections (https://www.nytimes.com/games/connections?GAMES_connectionsRollout_1130=1_ConnectionsV2) displays non-HTML formatted text, see added image.

Working my way through all NYT puzzles, 2 give non-HTLM text while the rest give the "Non compliant action error".

I would appreciate your help.

Yesterday I updated IOS on Macbook Air M2 to Tahoe 26.3.1. Today I had a problem with wallpaper and was in the middle of a conversation with apple when I accidentally closed the firefox browser. When I opened it and went to history, it did not have any of my history since the upgrade?

I really enjoy using the recently added sidebar, but I want to put it away temporarily while watching videos. After some digging around, I finally found the simple keybind for expanding it (ctrl-alt-z). With the 'hide tabs and sidebar' option toggled, I'm able to open and close it at will, which is exactly what I wanted.

However, whenever I do this, the sidebar snaps to what I assume is its default size (picture 1). I usually use it at minimum size (picture 2,) such that only the icon of each tab shows. I tried to readjust it, but it seems to not snap to this size anymore unless I disable 'Hide Tabs and Sidebar.'

For now, I'm just going to temporarily toggle that setting on when I want it out of the way, and manually fix things later. But, is there a way I can have the best of both worlds? Can I make the 'default' the sidebar snaps to the minimum size I usually use from Picture 2?

Hello, I accidentally clicked on a new toggle button and it opened a Google sidebar. I also now do not have the ability to have multiple tabs open on the same browser. If I clcik on command-T (Mac), the screen goes dark. What happened? Can I get my old system back, without this Google sidebar?

I have a Mac Pro laptop. Firefox has been my default browser. I never had problems accessing websites before, but now, suddenly, I get a rejection notice that prevents me from using certain websites and even links in emails. I am 74 years old and not technically mobile or able to figure out how to correct the rejection notices I receive. You have no phone number or other way to reach you. I have looked and tried to find where the problem may be but I have been unsuccessful. I have no idea if it is an accessibility problem or a connectivity problem . As well, the fonts on any instructions you provide are almost impossible to read as they were written for midget eyes. I would be grateful if you could assist me and send many thanks.

A user I am servicing uses Firefox every day. They are on Windows 11. Every afternoon (sometimes at other times), Firefox stops working and loses its internet connection (everything else on their computer continues to be connected). When they close and restart Firefox to reconnect, it then tells me the user that they are using an old profile and need to create a new one. They're able to re-log into their Firefox account, which eventually resyncs all their data, but they then have to re-sign into everything, which is a major inconvenience. The only workaround the I have found is to reinstall Firefox, ever time this happens which then allows the user to use all their settings until they have to repeat the process the next day (i.e., everything remains signed in and/or logging back in is easier than described above).

Here's some additional information and trouble testing we've conducted:

Uninstall and Reinstall of Fire fox

Check for updates (Updated to new version and still suffered the same issue)

Cleared cache and cookies

No extensions

Please if anyone has any advice or recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

I made my post originally on the 3/9/26 but no one has gotten back to me, so I am creating another post.

Up until maybe mid last year, I had an RX580 8gb. I was able to game on my main screen and watch videos on my second screen with no issues. Then I upgraded to a 2080 and now a 3070. When I switched to the 2080 I ran DDU. But ever since switching to NVIDIA whenever I game and watch videos, mainly twitch, the framerate on my game and twitch tanks. Sometimes it even causes a timeout or causes the video to corrupt, then I have to close and reopen the tab. From what I can see in Task Manager, the video decode just starts dying. Sometimes if I pause my game and then pause the video the frame rates will return to normal. If I'm watching something on YouTube, I'll instead get audio issues where the sound on the video will lower if the sound on the game gets louder. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't help. I've tried messing around with my internet settings, resetting my modem, that hasn't helped either. Drivers are all up to date. My specs are:

- Gigabyte 3070 oc 8 GB - 16 gb ram - ryzen 3600 - X570 Steel Legend (non-wifi) - Windows 11 pro

Whenever i try to open YT Videos or other in-browser videos in Full-Screen, the video only fills the screen to like 95%. The top and the left have a small bar, which just shows my desktop background. (See att.)

Closing the Full screen window and resizing the firefox window, repairs the issue. But after a restart it happens again.

Enabling hardware acc. kinda fixes it, but not consistently. And i would prefer to not use hardware acc.

A reinstall did not help and i dont seem to be the only one with this issue.

There is an issue with MKV video playback with MP3 audio track in FireFox. The problem is that MKV video plays MP3 audio track without any sound. With AAC audio track the problem is that MKV video initially downloads whole video and only then plays it. In comparison with MP3 and AAC the benefit of MP3 is much better quality and it starts playing without downloading whole video like MP4.

It would be nice if you add support MKV video with MP3 audio playback.

1. There used to be a choice in settings for Firefix mouse control to be optional. It is no longer available and apparently FF has created default mouse behavior.

The mouse behavior has become errant in a variety of ways. It interferes with everything online and started doing the same on the desktop.

The wheel is configured for three lines at a time on desktop. I do not want the mouse wheel to be doing anything else. I want either or both mouse buttons to open menus and function normally with links, copy and paste.

When looking in about:config the extensive number of configured mouse defaults is shocking. it is impossible to determine how to disable or delete any of them.

It has become impossible to scroll with the wheel and the scrollbar because the mouse jumps all over the page as if possessed.

It is impossible to scroll 3 lines at a time with the wheel, instead the mouse goes up and down and jumps to the top. Changing the number of scrolling lines on Desktop and in about: config so they are both 3 did not solve the problem. Tried changing both to 5 . . . no joy.

Expandable menus no longer open on some websites.

It has also become impossible to us the scrollbar effectively, instead the same behavior manifests as it does with the wheel - the mouse is jerky, going up and down and jumping to the top of the page, unpredictably.

Either way the mouse gets stuck moving up and down. After having successfully scrolled past where it was previously it returns, repeatedly, to the same previous lines each time I try to scroll further - in an endless loop.

If the mouse does functional, briefly, then half way down the page it starts misbehaving again. I already replaced the mouse several months back when the problem started, however, it was not constant. Then it started again with the new (usb) mouse. (Yes, I've cleaned it. No it is not worn out yet.)

2. Via a search I did find a list of adjustments to make in about:config while learning unexpected mouse behavior had become a common problem. I made at least 20 adjustments, and amazingly, there was no longer a problem! Smooth scrolling, no problems. However, after using the browser, closing and opening it numerous times, the errant behavior returned.

3. If there is no way to completely turn off FF mouse control, or use about:config to disable it entirely, then what is the last FF version that allowed saying "no" to what used to be optional mouse control, so it is possible to change back to it? If there is no other way to solve the problem, that should do it.

Any suggestions or solutions appreciated.

16 GB memory, 500 GB SSD. (chose to not install Windows 11 version 23 onward - so in the 22 gray zone that is both a windows 10 install and a windows 11 install - this is the windows 11 install).
