How can I uninstall Genieo? Following your instructions doesnt work - it keeps coming back!
When I first open Foxfire browser I must wait while Genieo Home opens - then at bottom of scree is prompt to uninstall - this then tells me to go to preferences and uninstall there then go to system applications and remove any Genieo files then restart. This I have done multiple times and Genieo is right there as I restart Foxfire.

You can check for problems with preferences.
Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Don't trust the genieo adware uninstaller, since it leaves active software behind. The company have known this for many months, but seem unable or unwilling to do anything about it, just as they won't reset search choices.
