Images appear to have artifacts or strange outline. Please help.
As about two months ago images on all webpages start to appear with a strange artifacting or outlining. Here's an example: http://s1298.beta.photobucket.com/user/albertron42/media/messedupimagesinfirefox.png.html
So far I have: Uninstalled Java, Flash, and Firefox then reinstalled; Ran virus scans using AVG, Malware Bytes, and Spybot in both safe mode and regular mode; Uninstalled all extraneous software; Removed all plug-ins/add-ons; Disabled hardware acceleration; and my ISP does not apply compression to images
This problem also occurs in IE and Chrome. Any help would be appreciated

Can you explain what is wrong in that image?
I'm not seeing anything usual.
If the problem is in other browsers as well then you probably have a problem in your Windows installation.
Did you check if there is an update of your graphics display driver?
You can also try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Then Windows will use a generic display driver.

Also please Update to the latest Firefox 17.0.x version.

The Firefox Firefox 12.0 version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates
Cor-el,
The main problem I'm having with this image is that the colors in the words "Black Friday" and the orange box around "deal of the day" appear to have some sort of artifacting. They appear to be slightly pixelated and have an odd outline within them. My graphics drivers are up to date. When I reinstalled Firefox v 12.0 was what was installed. Not sure why. I did update to 17.0 and still haven't had any luck resolving this problem. Could this be caused by a virus that my scanners just aren't picking up or a problem in my registry?
ALink download this antivirus scanner. I think it will help for you scan. Just download free version, and scan in safe mode. Don't forget If you use scanner you may lose your system files when virus settled and infect your files. If you sure you have a lots of virus and system not able to work correct you need to reinstall your Operation System. If you will reinstall your OS, Windows 7 it's normal for you, because it save your user files, program files(they will not work) in folder windows.old. Thank you. Did this information helped you? Please answer and I maybe help you.
